CONSTRUCTION LABOURER / FUTURE SITE SUPERVISOR
Hanlon Homes is a small, family-run renovation and home-building company working throughout the GTA. We are looking for a reliable, hardworking person who wants steady work, is interested in learning the building industry, and would like to grow into a leadership or site-supervisor position.
This is a good opportunity for someone who wants to stick with a growing company, take on increasing responsibility, and build a long-term career with us.
Position Details:
- $20–$30 per hour, depending on experience and ability
- Approximately 3–5 days per week
- Residential renovations, additions and new-home construction
- Job sites located throughout the GTA
- Opportunity to advance into a lead-hand or site-supervisor role
Responsibilities:
- General construction labour and site assistance
- Demolition, cleanup and material handling
- Assisting carpenters and other trades
- Basic framing, drywall, insulation, concrete and finishing work, depending on experience
- Loading, unloading and organizing tools and materials
- Maintaining clean, safe and organized job sites
- Picking up materials when required
- Following plans, instructions and safety procedures
- Communicating with homeowners, trades and other team members professionally
- Helping coordinate daily work as experience and responsibility increase
Requirements:
- Valid driver’s licence and reliable vehicle
- Reliable transportation to different job sites throughout the GTA
- Dependable, punctual and able to work independently
- Physically capable of performing construction work and lifting materials
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Able to follow instructions and work well with others
- Respectful and professional around clients and their homes
- Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in varying conditions
- Construction experience is preferred but not required for the right person
Supervisor Potential:
We are especially interested in candidates who have construction experience, take initiative and may eventually be capable of:
- Organizing workers and subcontractors
- Reading plans and understanding project scopes
- Tracking materials and project progress
- Maintaining quality and cleanliness
- Communicating with clients and trades
- Helping keep projects on schedule
