Job Overview
We are seeking a dependable and experienced AZ Driver to join our logistics team. This role involves transporting freight safely and efficiently across various locations, ensuring timely deliveries while maintaining compliance with safety regulations. Duties
- Operate commercial vehicles in accordance with transportation laws and company policies
- Transport freight to designated destinations efficiently and safely
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure proper functioning
- Load and unload freight using forklifts or other heavy equipment as needed
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation
- Assist with freight handling, including securing loads and verifying shipment accuracy
- Perform minor automotive repairs or troubleshooting when necessary
- Follow all safety protocols, including proper use of safety equipment and adherence to regulations
Skills
- Valid AZ commercial driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Knowledge of freight handling and securement techniques
- Ability to operate light and heavy machinery, including automotive repair skills a plus
- Strong understanding of transportation safety regulations and compliance standards
- Excellent navigation skills and familiarity with delivery routes in the region
- Good communication skills for coordinating with dispatch and clients
- Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and prioritize tasks
