Student Media Ambassador
Downtown CBS
Hours: 35 hours per week, 8-10 week position
Location: Hybrid, work from home and at events
Compensation: $18 per hour
Position Overview
We are looking for an outgoing and fun person to promote Downtown CBS this summer! This role will be planning, organizing, and generating live and video content to promote events & business in Downtown CBS.
You’d be a great fit if:

- You have made videos or content in the past
- You are reliable and organized
- You are a self starter, comfortable with sharing your ideas
About Us
We are a small volunteer Board of Directors supporting businesses in the downtown core of Conception Bay South. Our mandate is to promote local business, enhance our commercial district, and support community vibrancy.
Qualifications
- Must be a high school or post-secondary student to be re-enrolled in September 2026
- Must be flexible in order to attend evening / weekend events
- Familiarity with social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, etc.) – Any previous video or content creation an asset
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines
- Access to a reliable vehicle
- Legally entitled to work in Canada
Work Environment
- Remote, flexible schedule
- Work schedule may vary depending on project timelines, events, and board activities
