Position Summary
Responsible for ensuring timely delivery and accurate replenishment of raw material through effective supply chain and procurement planning. Supports inventory management for all Canadian plants and warehouses, leveraging SAP ERP for planning and data accuracy. Drives continuous improvement and cost-saving initiatives across procurement and supply chain processes.
Main Responsibilities
Material Planning & Replenishment Responsibilities
- Run MRP for assigned raw material portfolio and execute replenishment plans accordingly.
- Analyse production schedules and demand forecasts to determine material requirements.
- Generate and manage purchase orders to ensure on-time material availability.
- Monitor and follow up on open orders and expected deliveries to prevent shortages or delays.
- Align planning activities with inventory optimization strategies and excess inventory reduction plans.
- Collaborate with key functions (Operations, R&D, QC, Production) to improve processes and harmonize planning across plants.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and participate in S&OP and sustainability projects.
Inventory Management Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and monitor optimal inventory levels to avoid stockouts and excess inventory.
- Analyze usage trends, lead times, and consumption patterns to recommend the most effective replenishment strategy.
- Manage obsolescence, slow-moving inventory, and schedule changes. Supplier & Cross-Functional Coordination
- Liaise with suppliers to communicate forecasts, delivery schedules, quality requirements, and resolve supply issues.
- Collaborate closely with Production, Procurement, Quality, and Finance to align on production goals, timelines, and material specifications.
- Ensure materials meet required quality, safety, and cost standards in a food manufacturing environment.
- Systems & Continuous Improvement.
- Utilize ERP systems to run MRP, update lead times, maintain accurate master data, and manage purchase orders.
- Participate in implementing and improving supply chain planning systems and processes.
- Identify and drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance material flow, reduce costs, and mitigate supply risks.
- Track performance metrics, resolve non-compliance issues, and conclude non-conformances with suppliers in 10 days.
Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management (preferred), Business Administration, or related field; SCM certifications an asset.
- 3–5 years of experience in procurement and supply chain.
- 3+ years of SAP Supply Chain work environment, MRP modules, and order cycle management, full understanding of procure to pay cycle.
- Expertise in supply chain planning, procurement strategies, and inventory optimization.
- Advanced Excel and PowerPoint (presentation) skills; strong analytical and project management abilities.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to collaborate across functions.
- Fluency in French and English (written and spoken).
- Knowledge of food industry standards and regulations is an asset (GMP, SQF, ETC.).
Pay: $60,000.00-$67,000.00 per year
Work Location: In person
