Licensee Pharmacist – New Independent Pharmacy Opening
South Edmonton, Alberta | Full-Time | Opening Fall of 2026
Wage: $62-65/hour + Benefits
The Opportunity
Acme Drug Mart is opening a brand new, independently-owned community pharmacy location in southwest Edmonton's fastest-growing community. We're building something different — a modern, patient-first pharmacy in the heart of a busy medical corridor, with a real opportunity for the right pharmacist to grow into a leadership role from day one.
We're looking for a Licensee Pharmacist with APA (Additional Prescribing Authorization) who wants more than a routine dispensing job. This is an opportunity to lead a new pharmacy in an entrepreneurial environment with meaningful autonomy and long-term growth potential.
Why This Role Is Different
Competitive compensation. $65/hour — well above typical Alberta community pharmacist rates.
Full clinical autonomy. You lead the pharmacy. You set the clinical standards, workflows, and patient care philosophy. No corporate scripts, no unreasonable metrics, no pressure to hit sales targets that compromise patient care.
Prime location. Located in a medical corridor with dermatologists, family physicians, an ophthalmologist, dentists, and a walk-in clinic, all in the same plaza. Referral flow is built into the location.
Independent, not corporate. We're a family-owned pharmacy backed by an experienced pharmacist owner. No head office. No franchise restrictions. Just great pharmacy practice, done right.
Growth path. For the right candidate, there is opportunity for future equity ownership, partnership, or performance-based bonuses. This is a career opportunity, not just a job.
