Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Auto Body Painter to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing, painting, and finishing vehicle bodies to restore their appearance and ensure high-quality standards. This role offers an opportunity to work in a professional automotive environment, utilizing advanced painting techniques and tools to deliver exceptional results.
Duties
- Prepare vehicle surfaces by sanding, masking, and priming to ensure proper paint adhesion
- Mix and match paint colors accurately to match vehicle specifications
- Apply paint using spray guns, brushes, or rollers, ensuring smooth and even coverage
- Inspect finished work for quality, consistency, and adherence to safety standards
- Perform minor body repairs as needed before painting
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, including proper disposal of hazardous materials
- Operate power tools and hand tools safely during preparation and painting processes
- Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines and quality expectations
Qualifications
- Prior dealership experience or automotive repair background preferred
- Mechanical knowledge related to vehicle structures and repair processes
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and spray equipment used in auto body painting
- Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary for vehicle handling or materials movement
- Experience with automotive painting techniques and finishing processes highly desirable
- Mechanic experience is a plus, providing a broader understanding of vehicle systems
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety standards
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high-quality workmanship
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.29-$39.42 per hour
