We are looking for a reliable and responsible Night Shift Security Guard to protect our facility during evening and overnight hours. This position operates on a rotating schedule of 7 consecutive days on followed by 7 consecutive days off, with each rotation beginning on Thursday.
Responsibilities and duties:
- Conduct routine patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter fencing.
- Monitor access points and ensure only authorized individuals enter the property.
- Observe and report suspicious activity, safety hazards, security breaches, or incidents.
- Complete detailed shift logs and incident reports.
- Respond appropriately to emergency situations and contact emergency services when required.
- Verify that doors, gates, and equipment are properly secured.
- Assist with monitoring alarm systems, cameras, and security equipment.
- Support a safe work environment by identifying and reporting health and safety concerns.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Previous security, law enforcement, military, or related experience is considered an asset.
- Valid Security Guard License would be considered a strong asset.
- A clear Criminal Record Check is required and must be maintained throughout employment.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Strong observational and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Comfortable walking and standing for extended periods.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Basic computer skills for reporting and documentation.
