Little Friends Child Care Toronto Inc. is excited to welcome passionate and caring Registered Early Childhood Educators (RECEs) to our brand-new licensed child care centre in Scarborough. We are currently hiring Full-Time RECEs for our Toddler and Preschool classrooms. We are looking for educators who are dedicated to creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment where children can thrive.

Please Note: This position is intended to begin in January 2027. We are accepting applications now and will be conducting interviews in advance of our anticipated start date.
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday
- 8-hour shifts
- No weekends
About the Role
As a Registered Early Childhood Educator, you will be responsible for providing a high-quality early learning program while ensuring the safety, well-being, and development of every child. You will work collaboratively with fellow educators and families to create a positive, inclusive, and stimulating environment that reflects Ontario's early learning philosophy.
This position is available in our Toddler and Preschool programs, and successful candidates will be assigned based on experience and the needs of the centre.
Responsibilities
- Plan and implement age-appropriate educational activities based on How Does Learning Happen?
- Create a safe, welcoming, and inclusive classroom environment.
- Supervise children at all times while ensuring their health and safety.
- Observe, document, and support each child's learning and development.
- Build positive relationships with children, families, and team members.
- Maintain daily communication with parents regarding their child's progress.
- Ensure compliance with the Child Care and Early Years Act (CCEYA), licensing requirements, and centre policies.
- Maintain classroom cleanliness, organization, and learning materials.
- Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and ongoing training.
- Support children's social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development through play-based learning.
Qualifications
- Registered Early Childhood Educator (RECE) in good standing with the College of Early Childhood Educators.
- Early Childhood Education Diploma.
- Valid Standard First Aid & CPR-C certification.
- Current Vulnerable Sector Check.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Passion for working with young children and their families.
- Knowledge of Ontario's How Does Learning Happen?, ELECT, and the Child Care and Early Years Act (CCEYA).
- Previous experience working with toddlers and/or preschool-aged children in a licensed child care setting is considered an asset.
