We are seeking an experienced Senior SAP IBP / APO Functional Consultant to guide our clients through their next-generation supply chain transformations. As a critical bridge between business operations and IT, you will design, configure, and deploy SAP Integrated Business Planning (IBP) solutions while helping optimize and smoothly transition legacy SAP APO environments. This role requires an individual who excels at business process re-engineering, stakeholder management, and translating complex supply chain requirements into robust SAP designs.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the functional design, configuration, and implementation of SAP IBP modules (including S&OP, Demand, Supply & Response, and Inventory Optimization).
- Assess legacy SAP APO footprints and architect data/process migration roadmaps toward modern SAP IBP Cloud architectures.
- Conduct business blueprinting workshops, gather detailed requirements, and map supply chain workflows to SAP Best Practices.
- Configure the SAP IBP Excel Add-in and web-based Fiori dashboards to deliver highly intuitive user experiences for planners.
- Collaborate closely with technical teams to define integration requirements between S/4HANA (or ECC) and IBP via SAP Cloud Integration for Data Services (CI-DS).
- Create comprehensive functional specifications, test scripts, and training documentation to ensure seamless organizational adoption.
Qualifications & Skills
- Experience: 6+ years of hands-on functional experience in SAP Supply Chain Planning, with at least 2 full-lifecycle implementations of SAP IBP.
- Module Expertise: Deep knowledge of core SAP IBP applications (S&OP and Demand are required; Supply & Response or Inventory Optimization is highly preferred).
- Legacy Knowledge: Strong working knowledge of legacy SAP APO modules (DP, SNP, or PP/DS) to facilitate migration pathways.
- Business Acumen: Solid understanding of supply chain fundamentals, forecasting models, and sales and operations planning processes.
- Communication: Exceptional interpersonal and consulting skills, with a proven ability to challenge status-quo processes and present to executive stakeholders.
- Location Requirement: Must be located in the Greater Chicago Area and able to commute to the downtown office 3 days a week.
