Legacy Equipment Rentals is looking for someone with experience and knowledge of small engines - more specifically scissor lifts, excellent problem solving skills, and construction equipment knowledge to join our busy and fast paced equipment rental team!
Reporting to the Service Coordinator, the Small Engine/Tool Tech is required to inspect, diagnose, service, and repair small tools and equipment based on the Service Coordinator’s prioritization, in order to ensure that all equipment dispatched to the job site is functional and meets both regulatory and certificate requirements.
Responsibilities
- Complete inspections on inbound tools and small engine equipment
- Perform preventative maintenance on tools and small engine equipment
- Diagnose and complete repairs on company equipment as prioritized by Service Coordinator
- Confer with Service Coordinator regarding the extent of repairs need to inform repair/replace decisions
- Ensure that all repairs remain within budget requirements
- Ensure that all work is completed in a safe manner
- Enter timesheets and fLHAs using the company app
- Complete work orders daily
- Gives additional help to warehouse team including shipping and receiving
- Other tasks, as required
Requirements
- Experience with small engines and electrical systems is required
- Education in small engine repairs preferred
- Previous experience with rental equipment industry would be an asset
- Basic Computer skills to complete electronic time sheets and work orders as well as use email and other electronic communication mechanisms
