Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Community Health Nurse to join our healthcare team. This role involves providing essential nursing services to diverse community populations, promoting health and wellness, and supporting patients in managing their health conditions. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in patient care, nursing practices, and medical terminology, with a passion for community outreach and public health.
Duties
- Conduct health assessments and screenings within the community to identify health needs.
- Provide patient education on disease prevention, management, and healthy lifestyle choices.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare providers.
- Collaborate with community organizations to develop health programs and outreach initiatives.
- Document patient interactions accurately in accordance with healthcare regulations.
- Assist patients in navigating healthcare services and resources effectively.
- Support immunization campaigns and health promotion activities.
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to all safety protocols during patient interactions.
Experience
- Proven experience in patient care or nursing, preferably within a community or public health setting.
- Knowledge of medical terminology relevant to community health nursing.
- Strong communication skills to effectively educate and engage with diverse populations.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Certification as a Registered Nurse (RN) is required; valid licensure must be maintained throughout employment.
- Prior experience with health education, immunizations, or outreach programs is advantageous but not mandatory.

Pay: Up to $80.00 per hour
