Overview
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Part-time Dishwasher to join our team. This role is essential in maintaining a clean and efficient kitchen environment, ensuring that dishes, utensils, and kitchenware are properly sanitized and readily available for food preparation and service. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, a focus on cleanliness, and previous experience in restaurant or hospitality settings.
Responsibilities
- Operate dishwashing machines and hand-wash items when necessary to ensure all kitchenware is thoroughly cleaned and sanitized
- Maintain cleanliness of the dish area, including sinks, counters, and storage spaces
- Sort and organize clean dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and other kitchen equipment for efficient use
- Support the kitchen staff by providing clean dishes promptly to facilitate smooth restaurant operations
- Follow all safety and sanitation policies to uphold health standards within the kitchen environment
- Ensure proper disposal of waste and recyclables in accordance with company policies
Experience
- Prior experience in a restaurant, hotel, or food service environment is preferred but not required
- Knowledge of cleaning procedures and food handling safety standards is advantageous
- Previous hospitality experience demonstrates strong teamwork skills and customer service awareness
