Western Archrib has been a leader in the design, manufacture, and custom fabrication of glued-laminated structural wood systems since 1951. We are seeking a reliable and skilled Lumber Framer to join our Boissevain manufacturing team. This role plays a critical part in building high-quality frames used in residential, commercial, or industrial construction.
Location: Boissevain, MB
Shift: Morning - 7:00 am - 4 pm
Afternoon - 2:30pm-10:30pm
Wage: $23.00-$27.00 per hour
Role Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret blueprints to determine framing requirements
- Measure, cut, and assemble lumber
- Operate hand and power tools safely and efficiently (e.g., saws, nail guns, tape
- measures)
- Secure structures using nails, screws, fasteners, and adhesives as required
- Inspect completed frames for accuracy, structural integrity, and conformance to
- specifications
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, following safety and housekeeping protocols
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to meet production goals
- and deadlines
- Assist with loading, moving, and staging materials as needed
Role Requirements:
- Proficiency with carpentry tools and safe operation of power equipment
- Ability to read and follow blueprints, drawings, or work instructions
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work
- Good physical condition with the ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods
- Basic math and measurement skills
- Team-oriented mindset and ability to work in a production-driven environment
