We are currently hiring DTH Drillers to join our client’s team at a major open-pit gold mining operation in Northwestern Ontario.
This project is set to become one of Canada’s largest open-pit gold mines, with expected annual production of approximately 400,000 ounces over an initial 14-year mine life, with additional long-term underground potential.

Ideal for candidates based in Northern or Northwestern Ontario with access to a regional airport.
Responsibilities:
-
Operate Epiroc D65 and Sandvik DR650 blast hole drills
- Perform DTH and drilling to design pattern and depth specs
- Drill accurately using GPS / high precision drill navigation systems (MineStar or similar)

Follow all safety procedures and contribute to a safety-first work environment

Drilling in pits with voids
Qualifications and Experience Required:
-
2-5 years of Surface Mining Drill Operation
-
Experience with Autonomous- assisted drill systems / MineStar - Asset
-
Must have experience reading drill plans / blast designs
-
Surface Miner Common Core (#770210)
- Previous open-pit mining and blastibg experience is an asset

Valid Ontario driver’s licence (G1 or higher required)

Strong commitment to safety and safe work practices

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Strong communication skills (verbal and written)

Reliable, adaptable, and able to perform repetitive tasks in a fast-paced environment
