Position Overview:
We are seeking a clinically-oriented, motivated staff pharmacist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be comfortable dispensing and managing opioid agonist therapy (OAT), have strong clinical decision-making skills, and be proficient in using Kroll pharmacy software. This is an excellent opportunity for a pharmacist who enjoys building strong patient relationships and wants to be part of a pharmacy that prioritizes excellent patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide professional and compassionate patient care, including OAT dispensing and other pharmacy services: medication reviews (MedsChecks), minor ailment prescribing, and more.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, group homes, and other healthcare providers to support patient outcomes.
- Administer injections and immunizations.
- Ensure accurate and efficient prescription processing using Kroll.
- Practice and maintain all records in compliance with provincial regulations and standards.
- Participate in ongoing clinical initiatives and innovative pharmacy programs.
Qualifications:
- Licensed (PharmD or BScPharm) and in good standing with the Ontario College of Pharmacists (OCP).
- Experience with or willingness to learn opioid agonist therapy protocols and best practices.
- Proficient with Kroll pharmacy software.
- Injection certification.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Passion for patient education and clinical services.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
