We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Early Childhood Assistant to support the development and education of young children in a dynamic classroom environment. The i excellent communication skills in both French and English and be able to work with children in a fast paced environment. This role involves assisting lead teachers in creating a nurturing, engaging, and safe learning space that promotes growth, learning, and social-emotional development. Bilingual abilities in English and French are highly valued to support our diverse student population. Responsibilities
- Assist lead teachers in implementing daily lesson plans and educational activities tailored to children's developmental levels
- Support children with their individual needs, including those with disabilities or special educational requirements
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages curiosity, creativity, and social interaction
- Supervise children during indoor and outdoor activities, ensuring safety at all times
- Help with classroom organization, including preparing materials and maintaining cleanliness
- Communicate effectively with children, parents, and staff to promote understanding and collaboration
- Maybe assigned food preparation duties
- Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability
Experience
- Prior experience working with children in educational or childcare settings is preferred
- Bilingual proficiency in English and French is necessary
- Strong communication skills for effective interaction with children, parents, and team members
- Ability to demonstrate patience, empathy, and adaptability in a dynamic environment
Pay: $22.80 per hour
