The Opportunity
Métis Crossing is seeking a customer focused and organized Night Auditor. Reporting to the Guest Experiences Manager with a functional reporting relationship to Finance, the Night Auditor is responsible for overseeing overnight front office operations, ensuring exceptional guest service, maintaining the security of the property, and completing all nightly financial reconciliation and audit procedures. The Night Auditor serves as the primary operational leader during overnight hours and ensures the property is fully prepared for the next business day.
Key ResponsibilitiesGuest Services
· Provide exceptional guest service throughout the overnight shift.
· Complete guest check-ins, check-outs, and reservations.
· Respond promptly to guest requests, concerns, and emergencies.
· Process payments and maintain accurate guest accounts.
· Answer telephone, email, and in-person inquiries.
· Maintain a welcoming, clean, and professional front desk and lobby.
Night Audit & Financial Responsibilities
· Complete the daily night audit and close the business day in the Property Management System (PMS).
· Reconcile room revenue, restaurant, lounge, and retail transactions.
· Balance cash drawers, credit card settlements, and payment systems.
· Investigate and resolve discrepancies.
· Prepare daily financial, occupancy, and management reports.
· Support Finance with invoice processing and data entry as required.
Safety & Security
· Monitor the property throughout the overnight shift utilizing the cameras.
· Conduct routine security patrols.
· Respond to emergencies and complete incident reports.
· Ensure guest, team member, and property safety.
· Coordinate emergency response when required.
Property Operations
· Prepare front office operations for the morning shift.
· Assist with light food and beverage support when operationally required.
· Provide limited housekeeping support during urgent operational needs.
· Report maintenance concerns and complete shift handover notes.
Qualifications
· Minimum two (2) years of Front Office experience in a hotel, resort, or lodge.
· Previous Night Audit experience preferred.
· Experience using a Property Management System (Cloudbeds, Opera, Maestro, Smart Hotel, or equivalent).
· Experience handling cash reconciliation and financial reporting.
· High School Diploma required; Hospitality or Accounting education is an asset.
· WHMIS certification or willingness to obtain.
· First Aid/CPR certification is considered an asset.
· Strong Microsoft Office and computer skills.
· Clear Criminal Record Check.
· Knowledge of Métis culture and Indigenous tourism is considered an asset.
