Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Landscaper (Lead Hand) to oversee and execute high-quality landscape projects. In this role, you will help lead a team of landscapers, reporting to a landscape foreman, ensuring that all aspects of landscape installations are performed efficiently and to the highest standards. Your expertise in residential landscape construction will drive the success of our outdoor environments. This position offers an exciting opportunity to showcase leadership skills while contributing to beautiful landscapes we construct.
Responsibilities

Come join one of Vancouver's best landscape companies! Our projects are on beautiful residential properties, designed by some of the most respected landscape architects and designers in town.
The ideal candidate has the following:
- Paving - knowledge of setting grades, laying interlocking paving, natural stone and flagstone
- Machinery - must have experience operating and maintaining excavators
- Carpentry - basic skills, use of power tools, some experience in installing decks, arbors, fencing etc.
- Irrigation - basic knowledge of irrigation systems
- Retaining Walls - experience in Allan block, timber walls and dry-stack stone walls
- Plants - basic plant knowledge, experience in large planting areas
- Transport - you must have a class 5 BC Drivers License, with a clean abstract
- Education - Safety certificates, horticultural training, WHIMIS and Landscape Industry Certification are all assets
- Experience - You should have at least 2-3 years experience , specifically in landscape construction of single family homes
We are looking for someone that wants to progress as we always look to promote from within. Our crews are typically 3 to 6 people. We work 12 months a year.

Wages up to $36 per hour, depending on experience. This position is a stepping stone to a landscape foreman role.
