Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Estimator to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will assist in preparing accurate project estimates by analyzing blueprints, specifications, and project requirements. You will be expected to have some hands on learning on the tools as well so that you can fully learn and understand how the process of bid winning works. Responsibilities
- Collaborate with senior estimators to review project plans, specifications, and scope of work to develop comprehensive estimates.
- Utilize estimating software such as HeavyBid and Bluebeam to prepare detailed cost proposals.
- Gather and analyze pricing data from suppliers, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure competitive bids.
- Assist in conducting negotiations with suppliers and subcontractors to secure favorable terms.
- Support project management teams by providing accurate cost forecasts and assisting with bid preparation timelines.
- Maintain organized records of all estimating documents, correspondence, and revisions for transparency and future reference.
- Contribute to continuous improvement by staying updated on industry trends, new materials, and best practices in construction estimating.
- Work on the tools a couple times per week to gain understanding of our processes and procedures.
Qualifications
- Basic understanding of construction estimating processes and terminology.
- Experience with Bluebeam or similar PDF markup tools is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with project management principles within the construction industry
- Prior construction experience or coursework related to construction management or engineering is preferred.
- Knowledge of pricing strategies, budgeting, and cost analysis techniques.

Pay: $42,617.24-$114,844.06 per year
