Job Overview
We are seeking a enthusiastic and dedicated Tennis Coach to join our team for weekend sessions. This part-time position is ideal for individuals passionate about teaching tennis and fostering a positive athletic environment. The coach will be responsible for instructing players of various skill levels, primarily between the ages of 24-54. The role offers an excellent opportunity to develop coaching skills while working in a vibrant sports community.
Duties
- Conduct tennis lessons and drills for individuals and groups during Saturday and Sunday afternoons from 12 PM to 6 PM
- Provide clear instruction on tennis techniques, rules, and strategies to players of all ages and skill levels
- Ensure safety protocols are followed during all activities, including awareness of surroundings and proper equipment use
- Foster a positive, encouraging environment that promotes skill development and sportsmanship
- Assist with organizing tennis events or clinics as needed
- Maintain the tennis courts and equipment, reporting any issues or repairs required
Requirements
- Prior experience in teaching tennis or coaching is mandatory; additional training will be provided for qualified candidates
- Strong communication skills with the ability to motivate and engage players of different ages
- Ability to work weekends consistently, specifically Saturdays and Sundays from 12 PM to 6 PM
- Reliable transportation and punctuality are essential for scheduled sessions
- Certification in CPR or first aid is desirable but not required; training can be provided if necessary
Pay: $20.00-$50.00 per hour
