Overview
We are seeking a skilled hardscape Installer and/or a Lead Installer to join our growing construction team. This is a hands-on role for an experienced individual who takes pride in quality workmanship, leadership, and building premium outdoor spaces.
The ideal candidate has experience in interlock, paver patios, walkways, driveways, retaining walls, grading, and base preparation. Lead installer candidates should be confident guiding crew members, maintaining production, and ensuring projects are completed to a high standard.
We complete residential and select commercial projects throughout Ottawa and surrounding areas.
Responsibilities
- Install interlock patios, walkways, driveways, steps, curbs, and retaining walls
- Perform excavation, grading, base preparation, compaction, and screeding
- Read site layouts, measurements, string lines, grades, and project plans
- Operate equipment such as skid steers, mini excavators, plate compactors, saws, and hand tools
- Complete precise cutting, leveling, alignment, and finishing work
- Maintain proper drainage and slope throughout installations
- Load, unload, and organize materials, tools, and equipment
- Keep job sites clean, safe, and efficient
- Work with crew members to complete projects on time and on budget
- Lead installers: supervise crew, train team members, manage daily workflow, and maintain quality control
- Skilled installers have technical skills required and follow direction of the lead installer
Experience / Qualifications
- Proven experience in hardscape, interlock, landscaping, or construction
- Strong understanding of paver installation methods and base preparation
- Ability to read grades, measurements, and layout plans
- Experience operating common landscape construction equipment is an asset
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Ability to lift heavy materials and work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Strong attention to detail and pride in workmanship
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work well with a team
