We’re Hiring: Foreman!
Are you an experienced leader in municipal operations with a hands-on approach to public works? The RM of West St. Paul is seeking a Foreman to oversee the day-to-day delivery of municipal services while actively participating in field operations. This is a key leadership role responsible for ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality service delivery across roads, drainage, and public infrastructure—helping support the safety and well-being of our community.
Job Type: Full-Time (40 hrs. per week)
Start Date: To be determined
Salary: $41.90/hour
Closing Date: June 26, 2026 at 4:30pm
What You’ll Do
· Lead and participate in road maintenance, snow removal, drainage, and public works operations
· Assign, coordinate, and monitor daily work activities to ensure service delivery goals are met
· Operate and oversee the maintenance of heavy equipment and municipal assets
· Coordinate contractors, inspections, and operational programs (mowing, dust control, signage)
· Promote workplace health and safety, respond to emergencies, and manage operational resources and budgets
What We’re Looking For
· Minimum Grade 12 education with 5+ years of related municipal/public works experience
· Proven leadership experience supervising crews and coordinating work programs
· Strong knowledge of heavy equipment operation, road maintenance, drainage, and construction practices
· Class 3 license with air endorsement (or ability to obtain) and knowledge of safety regulations
· Proficiency with Microsoft 365, strong communication skills, and ability to work with the public
