Yard Worker / Light-Duty Mechanic Needed
We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Yard Worker to join our team.
Main Duties:
- Perform light repairs and basic maintenance on trucks and trailers
- Inspect the yard, trucks, trailers, and equipment regularly
- Move trucks and trailers within the yard
- Pick up and drop off trucks between the dealership, repair shop, and company yard
- Assist with tire checks, lights, mudflaps, air lines, minor electrical work, and basic repairs
- Keep the yard clean, safe, and organized
- Check for damage and report any mechanical or safety issues
- Perform basic maintenance on yard equipment, service vehicles, and company property
- Wash trucks, trailers, and equipment when required
- Remove snow, spread salt, cut grass, and handle other seasonal yard duties
- Pick up parts and supplies when needed
- Assist drivers and mechanics with general yard work
- Maintain records of repairs, inspections, and vehicle movements
- Complete other maintenance and yard-related duties as assigned
Two weeks of training will be provided. A company service van will also be provided for work-related duties.
The ideal candidate must have a valid driver’s licence, basic knowledge of trucks and trailers, good communication skills, and the ability to work independently.
Previous mechanical or trucking experience is an asset.
