Job Description:
Westbay Security is seeking dedicated and professional Security Personnel to join our team, playing a critical role in maintaining the safety and security of our warehouse and gatehouse site. Your primary responsibilities will include controlling site access, conducting inspections of trailers and containers, and patrolling the premises to enforce security protocols and ensure a safe environment.
This position demands a high level of attention to detail and vigilance, along with the ability to use modern security tools like tablets for logging vehicle entries and exits. You will be an essential part of ensuring the protection of our client’s assets and facilitating smooth gatehouse operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee access control by verifying and logging trailers and containers entering and exiting the site using tablet devices.
- Ensure all security protocols are strictly followed for both personnel and vehicles, promptly reporting any suspicious activity.
- Conduct regular patrols around the site and its surrounding areas to maintain a secure environment.
- Report and respond to any security breaches, potential safety hazards, or emergencies.
- Respond immediately to alarms or suspicious activities, documenting incidents as required.
- Monitor security cameras and other surveillance equipment for continuous coverage of key areas.
- Manage entry and exit points, performing necessary inspections and documentation for all vehicles.
- Assist visitors and drivers while maintaining adherence to site protocols.
- Carry out other duties as required based on the site’s needs.
Job Requirements:
- Must hold a valid Basic Security Training (BST) license.
- Comfortable using electronic devices like tablets for access management.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with visitor, staff and drivers.
- Ability to work independently and make quick decisions during emergency situations.
- Familiarity with security cameras and patrolling methods.
- Physically capable of conducting patrols and responding to incidents as needed.
