Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and customer-focused Sales Associate to join our retail team. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a passion for sales, and the ability to provide exceptional customer service. This role involves engaging with customers, demonstrating products, and ensuring a positive shopping experience. Bilingual abilities and experience in technology sales or merchandising are considered strong assets. The Sales Associate will play a vital role in driving sales through effective upselling and product knowledge, contributing to the overall success of our store.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assist them with their shopping needs
- Conduct product demonstrations and explain features to customers
- Assist customers in selecting products that meet their needs and preferences
- Operate POS systems accurately for transactions, including cash handling and cashiering duties
- Upsell products and promote ongoing promotions to maximize sales opportunities
- Maintain organized merchandise displays and ensure products are well-stocked
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly
- Manage time effectively to serve multiple customers efficiently during busy periods
- Follow phone etiquette standards when communicating with customers over the phone or via other channels
- Support merchandising efforts by organizing product placements and signage
Skills
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, in English; bilingual abilities are a plus
- Experience in retail sales, merchandising, or technology sales preferred
- Ability to perform product demos confidently and educate customers about features
- Basic math skills for cash handling and POS transactions
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor
- Organizational skills to manage stock levels and maintain attractive displays
- Time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively during shifts
- Knowledge of POS systems, cashiering procedures, and cash handling protocols
- Ability to upsell products tactfully while maintaining a focus on customer satisfaction
- Phone etiquette skills for professional communication over the phone or online platforms
Pay: From $17.00 per hour
