Position Summary

The Assistant Store Manager is a crucial leader responsible for daily operations and the company's profitability, aligning with established business objectives. Responsibilities include hiring and training sales associates, monitoring inventory, and analyzing consumer behavior to optimize store performance.
Key Responsibilities:
Operational Management
Operational management responsibilities involve overseeing the day-to-day operations of the store to ensure efficiency and effectiveness. This includes implementing strategies to attract customers, maintaining proper inventory levels through cycle counts, managing store budgets and resources, and ensuring the store environment is visually appealing through effective signage and displays.
Employee Management and Development
Employee management and development responsibilities involve overseeing the performance and development of store employees. This includes evaluating performance, identifying training needs, providing coaching and support, coordinating training sessions, and ensuring the Yard Supervisor maintains yard conditions and performance standards.
Customer Service and Sales
Customer service and sales responsibilities involve ensuring exceptional customer service and optimizing sales opportunities. This includes communicating with customers to understand their needs, addressing customer complaints promptly and professionally, analyzing consumer behavior to optimize product positioning, researching emerging products to update merchandise, and assisting with merchandise purchasing.
Health and Safety Compliance
Health and safety compliance responsibilities involve ensuring a safe and secure work environment for employees and customers. This includes adhering to health, safety, and security regulations, participating in health and safety programs, and participating in accident and incident reporting and investigations as necessary.
