Job Overview
Hari Consultancy Inc. is seeking an experienced Lead Network Cabling Technician to support commercial low-voltage and network infrastructure projects across the GTA. Our projects include medical clinics, office buildings, commercial facilities, and IT environments.
The ideal candidate should be able to work independently, lead a helper when required, and deliver high-quality installations while maintaining a professional attitude on-site.
Responsibilities
- Install, terminate, label, and test Cat5e, Cat6, and Cat6A network cabling.
- Install and terminate patch panels, keystone jacks, and RJ45 connectors.
- Pull and route network cables through ceilings, conduits, cable trays, and J-hooks.
- Install and mount network switches, routers, wireless access points, and related networking equipment.
- Perform rack & stack of network equipment and maintain organized cable management.
- Read floor plans, cable schedules, and project drawings.
- Label and document cable installations according to project standards.
- Troubleshoot and repair network cabling issues when required.
- Follow all workplace safety procedures and maintain a clean job site.
- Communicate professionally with project managers and clients.
Requirements
- Minimum 4 years of experience in commercial structured cabling or network installations.
- Experience working in clinics, commercial offices, retail, or IT environments.
- Strong knowledge of structured cabling standards and best practices.
- Experience installing switches, routers, patch panels, and wireless access points.
- Ability to use cable testing equipment and basic networking tools.
- Comfortable working on ladders and in ceiling spaces.
- Valid G Driver's Licence and reliable transportation.
- Own basic hand tools.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and supervise a helper when required.
Preferred Qualifications
Candidates holding any of the following certifications will be given preference:
- BICSI Installer Certification
- Panduit Certification
- Belden Certification
- Working at Heights
- WHMIS
- First Aid/CPR
Compensation
Competitive hourly rates based on experience, certifications, and technical skills.
Pay: $28.00-$34.00 per hour
