Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Inventory & Logistics Manager to oversee and optimize our supply chain operations. This key leadership role involves managing warehouse distribution, procurement, transportation, and order fulfillment processes to ensure seamless product flow from sourcing to delivery. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, familiarity with ERP systems, warehouse management systems, and process improvement methodologies. Duties
- Oversee warehouse distribution activities, including inventory control, order picking, shipping & receiving, and materials management.
- Manage procurement processes, sourcing strategies, and vendor relationships to ensure cost-effective purchasing and supply continuity.
- Utilize transportation management systems (TMS) and ERP platforms such as AS400 and Warehouse Management System (WMS) to coordinate freight, shipping schedules, and delivery logistics.
- Implement process improvements to enhance efficiency in demand planning, order fulfillment, packaging, and overall supply chain operations.
- Monitor pricing strategies and manage 3PL providers to optimize freight costs and service levels.
- Conduct data analysis for inventory forecasting, demand planning, and performance metrics to support decision-making.
- Maintain compliance with safety standards and ensure proper use of equipment such as forklifts; oversee warehouse safety protocols.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including procurement, sales, and production to align supply chain activities with business goals.
Skills
- Extensive experience in warehouse distribution, procurement, and supply chain management.
- Proficiency with ERP systems (e.g., AS400), Warehouse Management System (WMS), and transportation management systems (TMS).
- Strong data analysis skills for demand planning, pricing strategies, and process optimization.
- Knowledge of CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) for equipment maintenance planning.
- Familiarity with freight logistics, 3PL providers, shipping & receiving procedures, and order fulfillment processes.
- Experience with sourcing strategies for materials procurement and cost management.
- Ability to utilize e-commerce platforms for order processing and inventory updates.
- Hands-on experience operating forklifts or other warehouse equipment preferred.
- Excellent organizational skills with a focus on process improvement initiatives within a complex supply chain environment.
- Strong communication skills for cross-departmental collaboration and vendor negotiations.
