We are looking for a Warehouse Supervisor to oversee daily operations and support the efficiency of our warehouse team in our Burnaby Branch. This role requires strong leadership, organizational skills, and attention to detail to ensure smooth shipping, receiving, and inventory management processes.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership & Team Support
- Act as the point of contact for all shipping, receiving, and tinting-related inquiries.
- Provide guidance, coaching, and mentorship to warehouse staff.
- Schedule and coordinate work assignments for the warehouse team.
- Assist in training new employees.
- Provide feedback to upper management to improve warehouse efficiencies.
- Coordinate with WorkSafeBC (WCB) and Transport Canada representatives during inspections, providing required documentation and supporting compliance activities.
Inventory Management
- Oversee and conduct periodic inventory counts.
- Manage inventory rotation effectively to minimize product obsolescence, expiry, and damage.
- Monitor aging inventory by completing quarterly date checks and reporting product shelf-life information to the sales team.
- Notify the Corporate Warehouse Manager of inventory concerns.
Order Fulfillment & Transfers
- Verify pick-up orders and outgoing shipments.
- Prioritize order preparation based on urgency.
- Process orders by locating materials, arranging shipments, cross-checking accuracy, and completing waybills.
- Coordinate with couriers for outgoing shipments.
Receiving & Stocking
- Process inbound shipments and vendor purchase orders in the system.
- Ensure new inventory is placed in the correct warehouse location.
- Replenish stock to primary locations as needed.
General Warehouse Duties
- Maintain a clean and organized warehouse.
- Properly dispose of garbage, plastic, and cardboard.
- Conduct cycle counts and inventory audits.
- Perform regular expiry checks and communicate updates to sales.
Ideal Candidate Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a warehouse leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of shipping, receiving, and inventory control.
- Attendance & reliability – ability to schedule staff effectively and willingness to cover shifts during staff shortages.
- A minimum of three years’ forklift experience and certificate.
- Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with strong attention to detail.
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
- Be physically fit and able to do manual work.
