Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dynamic Sous Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership abilities, extensive kitchen experience, and a passion for delivering exceptional food and service. As a vital part of our restaurant management team, the Sous Chef will oversee daily kitchen operations, ensure food quality and safety standards, and support the Head Chef in menu development and staff supervision. This position is a mix of day and evening shifts. The typical schedule will be;
Sunday - 9am - 5pm
Wednesday - 2pm - 10pm
Thursday - 2pm - 10pm
Friday - 2pm - 10pm
Saturday 2pm - 10pm
Responsibilities
- Assist the Head Chef in managing daily kitchen operations, including food preparation and cooking.
- Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and leadership to ensure efficient workflow.
- Oversee food handling procedures to maintain high standards of food safety and sanitation.
- Coordinate with serving staff to ensure timely delivery of orders and excellent customer service.
- Monitor inventory levels, assist with ordering supplies, and manage stock rotation.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times.
- Contribute to menu planning, recipe development, and presentation standards.
- Train new team members on kitchen procedures, food safety protocols, and service standards.
- Maintain a positive work environment that promotes teamwork and professionalism.
Skills
- Proven supervising experience in a restaurant or food service setting.
- Strong background in food preparation, cooking techniques, and kitchen operations.
- Excellent team management skills with the ability to lead and motivate staff.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper handling procedures.
- Experience in restaurant management or leadership roles within the food industry preferred.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Exceptional communication skills to coordinate effectively with team members and front-of-house staff.

Pay: $45,000.00-$55,000.00 per year
