A Bread Affair is a certified organic artisan bakery making handcrafted bread and pastries with locally sourced and organic ingredients. We care about great food, great service, and being part of our community.
We’re looking for a friendly, energetic person to join our Granville Island team 3 days per week.
Schedule
You must be available:
- Saturday and Sunday
- One weekday – Tuesday, Wednesday OR Thursday
What You’ll Do
- Greet customers and provide excellent service
- Help customers choose breads, pastries and other products
- Process cash and card transactions accurately
- Keep displays stocked, clean and looking great
- Learn our products and confidently answer customer questions
- Maintain a clean and organized shop
- Follow food safety and company standards
What We’re Looking For
- Friendly, outgoing and comfortable talking with customers
- Reliable and able to work independently
- Strong communication skills
- Comfortable handling cash and doing basic mental math
- Organized and detail-oriented
- Able to stay positive and efficient when it gets busy
- Previous bakery, café, farmers' market or retail experience is an asset
- FoodSafe certification is an asset
