Position Summary
We are a growing wholesale distribution company seeking an experienced Full-Cycle Bookkeeper to manage the day-to-day accounting functions for multiple companies.
This is a hands-on bookkeeping position responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, completing reconciliations, managing receivables/payables, processing payroll, and completing required government remittances and filings.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform full-cycle bookkeeping in QuickBooks for multiple companies
- Process and maintain Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable
- Issue customer invoices and follow up on outstanding receivables
- Verify and process vendor invoices and payments
- Perform bank, credit card, and other account reconciliations
- Process employee and contractor payroll
- Process payroll remittances and maintain payroll records
- Prepare and submit GST/HST filings
- Maintain CRA and WorkSafeBC reporting and documentation
- Process EFT payments and maintain electronic banking records
- Maintain the general ledger and supporting documentation
- Investigate and correct bookkeeping discrepancies
- Maintain organized, audit-ready accounting records
- Assist with month-end and year-end close procedures
- Provide accurate financial information and supporting schedules to the Accountant/management
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of full-cycle bookkeeping experience
- Strong Canadian AR/AP and reconciliation experience
- Canadian payroll processing experience
- Experience with GST/HST, CRA remittances, and WorkSafeBC
- Strong QuickBooks Desktop experience
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills
- Experience with multiple companies is preferred
- Wholesale, distribution, manufacturing, or inventory-based accounting experience is an asset
- Strong understanding of debits/credits, general ledger accounts, and reconciliations
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and meet strict deadlines
Role Requirements
The Bookkeeper is expected to maintain current, accurate, and fully supported accounting records. Bank reconciliations, AR/AP, payroll, government remittances, and other assigned accounting tasks must be completed accurately and within required deadlines.
Pay: $28.00-$35.00 per hour
