As an Account Assistant at Billyard Insurance Group – Mississauga East, you'll play a key role in supporting our licensed brokers with the day-to-day administrative tasks required to service their book of business. You'll assist with documentation, file management, policy processing, and client communications that do not require a RIBO licence, helping our brokers focus on advising clients and growing their business.
What does the Account Assistant do?
As an Account Assistant, you'll be the backbone of your assigned broker's day-to-day operations, ensuring everything behind the scenes runs seamlessly. Your responsibilities will include:
Managing client records and processing important documents with accuracy and care.
Assisting in the preparation of client proposals, policy documents, renewals, and other brokerage paperwork for licensed brokers.
Organizing and maintaining essential insurance documentation and digital client files.
Preparing applications, forms, and supporting documentation for broker review.
Assisting with administrative client communications, including scheduling appointments, requesting documentation, confirming receipt of paperwork, and directing insurance-related inquiries to the licensed broker.
Monitoring broker inboxes and helping prioritize administrative requests.
Following up with clients for outstanding documents and signatures as directed by the licensed broker.
Providing administrative support to ensure brokers can focus on delivering outstanding client service and insurance advice.
Experience/Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent (required).
1–2 years of experience in an administrative or office support role, preferably in insurance or financial services.
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Experience working with insurance management software or CRM systems is considered an asset.
Post-secondary education in Business Administration, Insurance, or a related field is considered an asset.
