Overview
We are seeking an experienced Stone Countertop Fabricator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in fabrication, assembly, and construction, with proficiency in operating heavy equipment and power tools. This role offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment focused on producing high-quality stone countertops for residential and commercial projects. Candidates should possess mechanical knowledge, woodworking skills, and experience with manufacturing processes to ensure precision and efficiency in fabrication tasks.
Duties
- Measure, cut, and shape natural and engineered stone materials according to project specifications
- Operate machinery such as CNC machines, saws, grinders, and polishers with precision
- Assemble countertop components ensuring proper fit and finish
- Use hand tools and power tools to perform detailed fabrication work
- Maintain and troubleshoot equipment including heavy machinery and welding tools
- Work with welding and machining techniques to reinforce or modify components as needed
- Assist in loading, unloading, and moving heavy materials using forklift or other heavy equipment
- Follow safety protocols during all fabrication processes to ensure a safe working environment
- Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines while maintaining quality standards
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a stone countertop fabricator
- Mechanical knowledge related to machining and assembly processes
- Proficiency in operating forklift, overhead lifting equipment, and hand/power tools
- Experience with older bridge saw machinery, machining techniques, and material handling
- Strong understanding of construction practices and manufacturing safety standards
- Ability to read technical drawings and measurements accurately
- Warehouse experience or familiarity with material storage is a plus
- Excellent attention to detail, manual dexterity, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
Pay: $25.00-$30.00 per hour
