AZ or AR Driver/Construction Labourer

About the Position
We are seeking a dependable, safety-focused AZ or AR Driver / Construction Labourer to join our growing team. This role combines commercial driving responsibilities with hands-on construction support. The successful candidate will transport materials and equipment to and from job sites while assisting with various construction and site maintenance tasks.

Responsibilities
- Operate company trucks safely and in accordance with all applicable laws and regulations.
- Transport materials, equipment, and tools to and from construction sites.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and report any maintenance concerns.
- Keep company trucks clean and ensure they are properly fueled, greased, and maintained.
- Load, unload, and distribute materials, machinery, and tools to designated work areas.
- Prepare and clean construction sites before, during, and after projects.
- Control traffic safely around construction work zones when required.
- Erect and dismantle temporary structures, ramps, and worksite barriers.
- Signal equipment operators to assist with the safe movement and positioning of machinery and materials.
- Dig trenches, ditches, and other excavations using hand tools and powered equipment.
- Backfill excavations and grade gravel to specified elevations.
- Install and tie reinforcing steel and assist with concrete form reinforcement.
- Transport materials using wheelbarrows and other manual handling equipment.
- Clean and maintain tools, equipment, and the worksite.
- Complete daily work reports accurately and on time.
- Able to communicate and report to the Supervisor in a timely manner
- Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and applicable regulations.
- Report unsafe or unhealthy working conditions immediately.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support project operations.
Qualifications
- Valid Ontario AZ or AR Driver's Licence with a clean driver's abstract.
- Minimum 2 years of commercial driving experience preferred.
- Construction or concrete industry experience is considered an asset.
- Ability to safely lift and carry up to 35 kg (77 lbs).
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Reliable, responsible, and dependable with a positive attitude.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and perform multiple tasks.
- Commitment to workplace safety and professionalism.
- Willingness to take initiative and accept responsibility.
