Overview
PFP Canada – Fire Protection Services is seeking a qualified Journeyman Electrician. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems, including those related to fire protection equipment. This role requires travel between job sites and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
The Journeyman Electrician must have a strong understanding of applicable Electrical Codes, as well as Provincial and Federal Fire Codes. Knowledge of NFPA and CFAA standards is considered an asset. All work must be performed safely in accordance with OH&S regulations and company procedures.

Key Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair building electrical systems and components
- Perform inspections, testing, and preventative maintenance on electrical systems
- Assist with installation and servicing of fire protection-related electrical systems
- Troubleshoot electrical issues and ensure systems are operating safely and efficiently
- Coordinate work activities with engineers, contractors, and other trades
- Provide input related to electrical power outages and system impacts
- Travel between job sites as required
- Complete clear and accurate reports using handheld devices
Safety & Compliance
- Submit daily Hazard Assessments and weekly Vehicle Inspection reports
- Attend and participate in all safety and toolbox meetings
- Follow all OH&S guidelines and company safety procedures
- Read, understand, and participate in the company Safety Process Manual
- Comply with all government regulations and applicable codes
- Refuse unsafe work where there is reasonable cause to believe there is imminent danger
- Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Report workplace hazards, incidents, injuries, and near misses
- Take corrective action where possible and suggest improvements for accident prevention

- Complete all required internal training programs
