Overview
We are seeking a reliable and experienced 2+year Driver to join our transportation team. This role offers the opportunity to operate your own vehicle while handling freight deliveries across various locations such as Indiana, Wisconsin, Ohio, Kentucky, Arkansas, Illinois, Laredo, and El Paso, Texas.
The ideal candidate will possess strong driving skills, experience with heavy equipment, and a solid understanding of freight handling and vehicle maintenance. As an Owner Operator Driver, you will play a vital role in ensuring timely and safe delivery of goods, contributing to the efficiency of our logistics operations.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles, including trucks and heavy equipment, to transport freight to designated destinations
- Conduct routine inspections and basic maintenance on your vehicle to ensure optimal performance and safety
- Navigate routes efficiently, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients regarding delivery schedules and any potential issues
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, fuel consumption, and vehicle maintenance logs
- Assist in troubleshooting minor mechanical issues or automotive repairs when necessary
- Comply with all safety standards related to heavy equipment operation and freight handling
Requirements
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record
- Proven experience in freight transportation or commercial driving roles
- Ability to operate heavy equipment
- Minimum 2 years of cross-border experience
- Positive attitude, hardworking, consistent, and reliable
