Overview
We are seeking a knowledgeable and personable Budtender to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess strong customer service skills, a solid understanding of cannabis products, and the ability to provide an engaging and informative experience for our customers. This role involves assisting clients in selecting products, maintaining a well-organized sales environment, and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations. Bilingual abilities, especially in English and French, are highly valued to serve a diverse clientele effectively. Duties
- Greet customers warmly and provide personalized assistance based on their preferences and needs
- Educate customers on product features, effects, and usage guidelines in a clear and professional manner
- Operate POS systems efficiently for sales transactions, cash handling, and inventory management
- Upsell products by understanding customer needs and recommending suitable options
- Maintain accurate records through filing, computer operation, and Microsoft Office tools such as Excel
- Manage merchandising displays to ensure attractive presentation of products
- Handle heavy lifting when restocking shelves or moving inventory
- Ensure compliance with all legal regulations regarding sale and distribution of cannabis products
- Assist with inventory counts and stock organization to support smooth store operations
- Uphold cleanliness standards within the store environment
Experience
- Previous experience in retail sales or hospitality environments is preferred
- Familiarity with POS systems, cashiering, and basic math skills for cash handling transactions
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications such as Word and Excel; computer skills are essential
- Multilingual abilities, especially fluency in English and French, are highly desirable to enhance customer engagement
- Strong communication skills for effective customer interaction and team collaboration
- Organizational skills for managing multiple tasks efficiently within a fast-paced setting
- Experience with merchandising, upselling techniques, and inventory management is advantageous
- Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary; previous experience in retail or hospitality roles involving physical activity is a plus
