Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Tekla Detailer to join our steel fabrication company. If you have a passion for 3D modeling and want to work on exciting, diverse structural projects, we want to hear from you.
Responsibilities
- Create highly accurate 3D models of structural steel and miscellaneous metals using Tekla Structures.
- Generate detailed shop drawings, assembly drawings, erection plans, and Bill of Materials (BOM).
- Identify and resolve design conflicts or interferences (clash detection) before fabrication begins.
- Interpret structural drawings, architectural designs (IFC), and project specifications.
- Write and track Requests for Information (RFIs) to clarify missing or conflicting design data.
- Produce CNC data (NC/DXF files) to support our automated fabrication equipment.
- Ensure all models and drawings comply with AISC, NISD, and company standards.
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of experience using Tekla Structures is required.
- Advanced, hands-on proficiency with AutoCAD or Bluebeam is a plus.
- Strong blueprint reading skills, spatial comprehension, and a solid understanding of connection design.
- Strong attention to detail with high mathematical and geometric accuracy.
- Ability to collaborate professionally with project managers, engineers, and fabricators.
Schedule
- Monday-Friday
- 7am-5:30pm
- Weekly pay
- Overtime after 44 hours in a week
Pay: $65,000.00-$80,000.00 per year
