We are seeking a dedicated Livestock Labourer (Calves) to join our team at Mapleview Agri Ltd. in Palmerston, Ontario, Canada. This role is vital in supporting our daily operations and maintaining the high standards of our calf facility. The Livestock Labourer will contribute to the care of our livestock.
- Feed calves according to established feeding protocols.
- Monitor calf health and behaviour and report signs of illness, injury, or distress to management.
- Assist with treatment and vaccination programs as directed and under supervision of management.
- Identify, tag, weigh, and move calves safely between housing areas.
- Clean, disinfect, and bed calf pens, hutches, and housing facilities.
- Maintain a clean and sanitary calf-rearing environment to support animal health and biosecurity.
- Record feeding, health, treatment, and growth information accurately.
- Operate and maintain basic farm equipment used in calf care activities.
- Handle livestock humanely and in accordance with farm animal welfare standards.
- Assist with general farm and barn maintenance as required.
- Follow all farm safety and biosecurity procedures.
Job Requirements:
- Must be able to work full-time hours, including mornings, nights, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Physically capable of performing repetitive tasks, standing for extended periods, and working in barn conditions
- Applicants must have a minimum of 1 year to less than 2 years of hands-on agriculture related experience to ensure familiarity with livestock and working conditions. (Please provide any relevant reference letters with your application)

Wage & Vacancies:
$20.00 per hour working full time with an average 40 hours per week.
