Job Summary
Reporting to the Senior Operation Managers and working closely with the Human Resources Manager, this position oversees the timekeeping systems and processes within the organization.
Duties Include
· Accurately managing and maintaining employee time and attendance records, ensuring compliance with company policies and relevant labour laws by using Humanity and Novatime.
· Monitor and review timekeeping records for accuracy and completeness. Also identify trends, patterns, and discrepancies
· Ensure that time and attendance inputs are accurate and are entered into Novatime for processing time and attendance data in payroll.
· Ensure adherence to company policies and regulatory requirements related to attendance and timekeeping. Provide guidance and support to employees and managers on timekeeping policies and procedures.
· Generate regular reports on attendance metrics, such as absenteeism rates and overtime hours. Analyze data to identify areas for improvement and make recommendations to enhance efficiency and compliance.
· Ensure accurate recording of employee work hours, monitor attendance patterns, address discrepancies, and report any misuse of shift trade privileges, etc
· Validates and reconciles scheduled hours worked by employees through daily reports.
· Track shift swap and shift release practices by the department and report any discrepancies
· Alert designated management to potential timekeeping issues concerning employees
· Contact relevant management to ensure that all hours are reviewed and approved prior to capturing deadlines
· Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
· Provide Coverage to the Operation Support Coordinator- Schedulers as required
· Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
· Post Secondary Education is considered an asset.
· 2 -3 years’ operational administration experience.
· Time & attendance experience will be an advantage.
· Computer Literacy (Word; Excel – imperative; PowerPoint & Outlook).
· Good understanding of payroll tools/technologies, if needed the ability to quickly adapt to a new tool.
· Familiar with publishing monthly metrics and reporting
· Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in record-keepingProven ability to work effectively either as an individual or member of a team and relate effectively with staff on all levels
· Effective communication (English) and interpersonal skills.
Pay: $21.00-$23.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40.0 per week
