General Labour / Yard Worker
London, ON
Pay: $18.50 - $20.00/hour
Flexible availability required for the shift: Wednesday – Sunday 7:30am – 3:00pm OR Monday - Friday 8am to 5pm then switch to an afternoon/weekend schedule that may include 4pm-8pm during the week and 8am to 5pm on weekends
Job Duties:
- Basic yard clean up
- Picking up debris including plastic and automotive parts
- Moving car tires around (including some tires on rims and some tires off rims
- Moving rims, rubber, and automotive parts to certain areas around the yard
- Re-organizing the shop and yard
- Helping to process cars that come in for scrap
- Removing rims/tires from cars
- Draining fluids
Requirements:
- Experience working in a construction / automotive environment is an asset
- Experience using tools such as impact guns, drills, hammers
- MUST have steel toe safety boots (not shoes)
- Comfortable working outside all day
- Comfortable with physically demanding, heavy work – pushing and lifting up to 50lbs
