Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Automotive Service Advisor to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will serve as the primary point of contact between customers and our service department, ensuring a seamless experience from vehicle check-in to completion. This role requires excellent communication skills, a strong understanding of automotive repair processes, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. The Service Advisor will also assist with sales and upselling services to maximize customer satisfaction and dealership profitability.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers promptly and professionally upon arrival, establishing a welcoming environment
- Listen carefully to customer concerns and accurately document vehicle issues
- Explain recommended repairs and services clearly, ensuring customer understanding
- Prepare detailed repair orders and communicate necessary work to technicians
- Provide updates to customers on the status of their vehicle repairs or maintenance
- Upsell additional services or maintenance based on vehicle needs and customer preferences
- Handle cash transactions accurately and process payments efficiently
- Maintain thorough knowledge of dealership services, promotions, and financing options
- Follow up with customers post-service to ensure satisfaction and encourage future business
- Assist in maintaining a clean, organized service area and administrative records
Experience
- Previous automotive shop experience is highly preferred, providing familiarity with automotive sales and service processes
- Advisor experience or mechanical knowledge is advantageous for understanding technical repairs and communicating effectively with technicians
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to build rapport and trust with clients
- Proven sales ability, including upselling services in a professional manner
- Experience handling cash transactions accurately and managing financial paperwork is desirable
- Knowledge of automotive repair procedures enhances communication between customers and technicians

Pay: $18.00-$25.00 per hour
