Overview
We are seeking a motivated and dedicated Apprentice Plumber to join our team. This level 1 or 2 position is designed for individuals looking to gain hands-on experience in the plumbing industry while working under the guidance of experienced professionals. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical aptitude and a willingness to learn various plumbing techniques and practices.
Responsibilities
- Assist licensed plumbers with installation, maintenance, and repair of plumbing systems.
- Learn to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools safely and effectively in various plumbing tasks.
- Participate in the assembly and installation of plumbing fixtures, pipes, and fittings.
- Support carpentry tasks as needed for plumbing installations.
- Conduct routine maintenance checks on plumbing systems to ensure functionality.
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment.
Requirements
- Basic mechanical knowledge with an interest in plumbing and construction.
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and their safe usage.
- Ability to read blueprints and schematics is preferred.
- Strong basic math skills for measurements and calculations.
- Willingness to learn new skills and techniques related to plumbing.
- Ability to work well in a team environment while following instructions from supervisors.
