Building Maintenance Coordinator
Annual Salary $56,299.37 - $70,374.21 (commensurate with experience)

The Building Maintenance Coordinator contributes to the efficient delivery of support services that meet the expectations of patients, visitors and staff and maximizes the function and life of the hospital’s furnishings, equipment, and physical plant. They perform basic repair and maintenance functions, assembles/dissembles equipment, and responds to work orders. The job involves working with tradespeople performing routine and corrective maintenance of the property, maintaining critical and non-critical mechanical and electrical equipment, and participating in a comprehensive preventative maintenance program. The Building Maintenance Coordinator participates in preventative maintenance programs that ensure efficient, cost-effective operations and minimize inconvenient breakdowns.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Regular, scheduled and emergency repairs and preventative maintenance of equipment (including certain medical equipment), control systems, physical plant and property
- Equipment assembly, installation, and disassembly
- Equipment audits and regular inspections
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Secondary School Diploma
- Previous experience in general labour, maintenance processes, and equipment and building repairs.
- Experience in a healthcare environment
- HVAC and Fire Safety experience is an asset
- Ability to build positive working relationships, communicate effectively and work independently to meet deadlines
- Proven customer service and interpersonal skills
- Ability to safely perform the essential physical requirements of the position, with or without accommodation.
- Demonstrated proficiency with computer applications (Work Order Management Software, Microsoft Office)
