Job Summary
We are seeking motivated students and recent graduates interested in gaining practical Canadian business experience. This placement offers hands-on exposure to Business Development, Sales, CRM Management, Marketing, Operations, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Accounting, and International Trade.
Students will work alongside experienced business professionals on real-world projects and contribute to ongoing company initiatives while developing valuable workplace skills and industry knowledge
Responsibilities
Sales & Business Development / CRM
- Assist in maintaining the company CRM, ensuring customer and prospect information, activities, and sales pipelines are accurate and up to date.
- Develop new business through prospecting, customer account development, in-person business visits, product presentations, promotional activities, and sales follow-ups.
- Prepare CRM, sales, and customer activity reports to support management decision-making.
Marketing & Market Research
- Conduct market research and competitor analysis.
- Collect, organize, and analyze market intelligence.
- Conduct in-person/field research by visiting relevant businesses and retail locations to gather and verify business information when required.
- Assist with marketing campaigns and content development.
- Support branding, social media, and promotional activities.
Operations & Logistics
- Support operational and administrative activities.
- Assist with logistics coordination and supply chain processes.
- Help maintain records, reports, and operational documentation.
- Participate in workflow improvement initiatives.
- Assist with tracking products, orders, suppliers, and business activities.
Accounting & Administration
- Assist with data entry, reporting, and record management.
- Support accounting and financial administration activities.
- Assist with spreadsheet management and business reporting.
- Support project tracking and documentation.
- Assist with sales administration, invoicing, and related records.
International Trade
- Assist with import/export research and documentation.
- Participate in international trade and market development projects.
- Research international market opportunities and trends.
- Assist with research related to international suppliers, products, and markets.
Preferred Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in a Business, Marketing, International Trade, Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations Management, Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or related program.
- Strong communication, organizational, and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn.
- Comfortable communicating with customers, suppliers, retailers, and other business contacts.
- Willingness to participate in both online and in-person research and business activities.
- Additional language skills are considered a strong asset.
- Interest in business development, sales, CRM, marketing, operations, logistics, accounting, supply chain management, and international trade.
Location
Hybrid position based in North York, Ontario.
Candidates must be located in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) and be available to attend in-person meetings, training sessions, and project activities at our North York office.
Internship Duration
Approximately 3 months.
