About the Job
Dixie Ford is looking for a hardworking, reliable, and fast‑paced Fast Lane Attendant / Service Apprentice to join our team. The ideal candidate has experience in the automotive or dealership environment, but we welcome individuals who are eager to learn and grow in the trade.
This position is an excellent fit for someone who wants to start or continue an automotive apprenticeship, with long‑term opportunities to advance into a licensed technician role within our dealership.
We offer ongoing training and will fully support your career development, including opportunities to pursue an apprenticeship through our service department.

Position Responsibilities
- Perform tire, oil, and fluid changes
- Complete preventive maintenance tasks
- Maintain and clean dealership tools and equipment
- Present a professional image, positive attitude, and clean work environment
- Follow all safety, environmental, and hazardous waste handling procedures
- Stay current with technical training (including Ford training requirements)
- Bring vehicles to the front for customer pickup
- Report missing or damaged tools and equipment
- Complete repair assignments accurately and to quality standards
- Use computer systems to review repair orders, request parts, and document work
- Support parking lot maintenance (sweeping, snow removal, etc.)
- Maintain cleanliness of customer vehicles
- Assist technicians with repair procedures when required
- Participate in department and dealership meetings
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Prior automotive or dealership experience is an asset
- Automotive education or equivalent experience preferred
- Customer service experience required
- Valid Ontario G class driver’s license with a clean abstract
- Willingness to learn and interest in pursuing an apprenticeship
