About the Role
Sunset Grill is looking for an experienced, reliable, and customer-focused Part-Time Seasonal Server to join our team until the end of September 2026.
This is a fast-paced breakfast restaurant, so previous breakfast serving experience is required. Experience working at Sunset Grill is considered a strong asset.
Responsibilities
- Provide friendly and professional customer service

Requirements
- Previous breakfast restaurant serving experience is required
- Experience at Sunset Grill is a strong asset
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Available for morning shifts, weekdays, and weekends
- Smart Serve certification is an asset
- Legally eligible to work in Canada

Duties
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, personalized service throughout their visit
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems, including Micros POS if available
- Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining presentation standards
- Handle cash and process payments accurately, including cash handling and cashiering responsibilities
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales opportunities
- Ensure proper food handling, sanitation, and safety procedures are followed at all times
- Assist with food preparation or kitchen tasks as needed to support smooth restaurant operations
- Maintain cleanliness of tables, dining areas, and service stations in compliance with sanitation standards
- Manage time effectively to serve multiple tables efficiently during busy periods
- Provide guest services that promote a positive dining experience and encourage repeat visits
Qualifications
- Previous food service or restaurant experience is preferred but not required; training will be provided
- Knowledge of POS systems, especially Micros POS, is a plus
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly, professional demeanor
- Ability to handle food safely and follow sanitation guidelines diligently
- Basic math skills for cashiering and billing purposes
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks during peak hours
- Experience with food handling, food safety standards, and hospitality best practices is desirable
- Ability to work well in a team environment and communicate effectively with guests and staff
- Flexibility to work part-time hours including evenings and weekends as needed
