Overview
We are seeking a dependable and hardworking General Labourer to join our flood restoration and basement cleanup team. This role involves hands-on work in restoring properties affected by water damage, requiring physical stamina, attention to detail, and a proactive attitude. The ideal candidate must be comfortable working in various environments, utilizing hand and power tools, and contributing to efficient restoration projects. This position offers an opportunity to develop skills in the restoration industry while making a tangible difference for clients in need.
Responsibilities
- Assist with flood damage cleanup, including water extraction and drying processes
- Use hand tools and power tools to remove damaged materials such as drywall, flooring, and insulation
- Prepare work areas for restoration activities by cleaning and organizing the site
- Operate basic construction and restoration equipment safely and effectively
- Support team members in demolition, debris removal, and basement cleanup tasks
- Follow safety protocols at all times to ensure a secure work environment
- Maintain cleanliness of tools and work areas throughout each project
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and to high standards
Requirements
- 1-2 years experience with Construction, demolition, renovation, or general labour experience
- Ability to operate hand tools and power tools safely and effectively
- Physical ability to lift heavy objects, perform manual labor, and stand for extended periods
- Knowledge of or willingness to learn about flood restoration processes and safety procedures
- Strong work ethics with attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- A Valid driver’s license
