About the Role
We are looking for a skilled and reliable Wood Assembler to join our production team in Ancaster. This is a full-time position for an individual with 1–2 years of hands-on experience in woodworking, cabinetry, or industrial assembly.
The ideal candidate takes pride in their craftsmanship, understands shop safety, and is ready to hit the ground running in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Precision Assembly: Use blueprints and shop drawings to assemble wooden components using wood glue, staples, screws, and clamps.
- Tool Operation: Safely and proficiently operate a variety of hand and power tools (drills, impact drivers, pneumatic nail guns, and sanders).
- Finishing & Prep: Ensure all joints are flush, surfaces are sanded, and products are ready for the next stage of production.
- Quality Assurance: Conduct self-inspections of finished pieces to ensure they meet our high-quality specifications.
- Shop Safety: Maintain a clean, organized workspace and strictly adhere to all health and safety protocols.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Experience: Minimum 1–2 years of professional experience in woodworking, carpentry, or furniture assembly.
- Technical Skills: Ability to read basic blueprints or assembly diagrams and use measuring tapes with high accuracy.
- Physical Ability: Must be able to stand for the duration of a shift and comfortably lift up to 50 lbs.
- Reliability: Proven track record of punctuality and attendance.
- Equipment: Must have (or be willing to obtain) CSA-approved steel-toe safety boots.
Work Schedule
- Full-time: Monday to Friday
